Manager/Senior Manager - Financial & Regulatory Reporting

We are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Financial & Regulatory Reporting group based in Hyderabad.  The group is responsible for maintaining the legal entity and individual investor capital as well as preparing and distributing monthly/quarterly/annually audited financial statements, and monthly investor account statements for entities within the D. E. Shaw Group.  The group is also responsible for periodic return computations and calculation, and allocation of applicable fees.  This role requires close interaction internally with various groups such as Trade Accounting Operations, Investor Reporting (among others) and externally with our auditors and administrators.

The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with working experience in the Financial Services industry along with a Hedge fund accounting/auditing background as well as a good understanding of the U.S. GAAP.  Strong accounting, analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, excellent written and oral communication skills along with superior interpersonal skills would be an added advantage.

We are looking for a Senior Analyst / Manager to join our Pricing team based in Hyderabad.  Members of this team work on the valuation of different asset classes spanning across equity, rates, credit, FX and commodities. Team members are exposed to industry best practices in valuation for both vanilla and exotic instruments across different asset classes and will learn nuances of handling huge data sets, building exception framework and valuation for various bespoke instruments.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Developing and enhancing existing valuation models across asset classes in excel with the goal of having the same automated on the pricing platform.
- Understanding the intricacies of various valuation methodologies and documenting the same as required.
- Completely owning the process of daily and month end pricing of specific asset classes.
- Investigating and resolving any valuation differences raised by FO and/or the collateral team. Coordinating with other teams toward resolution of issues by effectively analyzing the cause and effects, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Evaluating new data vendors for accuracy and coverage and doing a cost benefit analysis.

The ideal candidate must be an MFE/MBA(Finance)/CFA/CA or of equivalent qualification with minimum of 3 years of prior work experience in the valuations domain for hedge funds/investment banks and familiarity with different asset classes (equity, rates, credit, FX and commodities) with expertise in at least one of the above (Rates and/or FX is preferred). The candidate should possess in-depth domain/finance knowledge, financial modeling skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The candidate should ideally have working knowledge of VBA, Monte Carlo simulations in order to use them in developing financial models. We are looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director for our Trade Accounting and Operations group based in Hyderabad.  The group handles post trade activities for hedge funds with one of their core daily objectives being ensuring post trade activities happen in a timely manner and record an accurate view of positions, cash and P&L in the books.  The group works closely with counterparties and investment managers to achieve this and the primary activities for the same include daily street reconciliations, settlements, P/L reconciliations and fund accounting (GAV / NAV preparation).  The group deals with a variety of strategies and different kinds of financial instruments, spanning different geographies and time zones.

The primary responsibilities include:
