        Senior Specialist/ Manager - Employee Engagement (Human Capital)

        Join our Human Capital team in Hyderabad

        We are looking for a resourceful candidate for our Employee Engagement team based out of Hyderabad. The candidate will be responsible for managing, driving, and executing firmwide employee engagement events and initiatives for the firm. The candidate will collaborate extensively with multiple stakeholders (employees and external vendors). The role offers high visibility and impact within the firm.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will be involved in strategizing and designing a sustainable employee engagement plan through social initiatives like happy hours, parties, internal sports tournaments, intellectual competitions, hobby workshops, and wellness activities. You will be required to proactively plan and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for the smooth execution of programs and initiatives. As part of the role, you will be liaising with external vendors, comparing event proposals, forecasting expenses, conducting-cost benefit analysis, etc., in order to plan and execute seamless events. You will also be responsible for developing new and innovative ways to engage employees across D. E. Shaw India office locations. Additionally, you are expected to stay abreast of the latest trends/practices in employee engagement through industry benchmarking. Devising non-traditional ways to develop communication strategies for greater employee participation and engagement is an integral part of the role, along with analyzing and suggesting improvements to current employee engagement processes.

        Who we’re looking for

        • The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree, preferably in HR, with exceptional time-management skills and operational excellence, especially in driving large-scale events
        • The candidate should have at least 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in strategizing and executing employee engagement initiatives/events
        • Candidate should have a proven track record of creating and implementing effective, result-oriented employee engagement projects and programs
        • The candidate should have the ability to plan and execute events effortlessly, be creative, and possess a drive for results
        • The ideal candidate should be able to collaborate and work with all levels of the organization
        • Candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with various stakeholders
        • The candidate should have excellent attention to detail, creative thinking ability, and well-developed people-management skills
        • The ideal candidate should be proficient in MS Office and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
        • The candidate should possess the ability to work in an agile and highly collaborative environment
