        What you’ll do day-to-day

Your day-to-day will center on close collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, analysts, and product managers, to understand their business needs and translate them into well-reasoned technical proposals. You will then carry those proposals through to implementation, driving projects end to end while holding a high bar for both quality and timelines. As part of this, you will explore and apply generative AI to solve business problems, identifying opportunities where it can unlock new capabilities, streamline workflows, and deliver meaningful value to the business. A core part of your role will be to plan and deliver robust, resilient, and performant applications, iterating through solutions and extending existing implementations as requirements evolve. Beyond your business stakeholders, you will also partner closely with other infrastructure teams, a collaboration that is central to delivering solutions that scale and endure. You will continually look for ways to improve the existing setup, championing sound design principles and clean coding practices, and striking the right balance between building quick, pragmatic solutions and planning for long-term longevity. You will also embrace generative AI tools to boost developer productivity, accelerating everything from prototyping and coding to testing and troubleshooting, and helping bring modern engineering practices to the team. You will take ownership of the systems you build, from development and testing through to deployment. Along the way, you will contribute to an excellent engineering culture through thoughtful design reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship, helping raise the bar across the team.
