        Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst – DESCOvery

        We are looking for resourceful candidates to join the DESCOvery team in our Financial Research (FinRes) group based in Hyderabad, India. The DESCOvery team explores unique opportunities to build out innovative, non-asset management technology businesses and ventures in areas such as fintech, insurtech, and data sectors.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with a team of entrepreneurial and creative members to evaluate and research ideas to build new companies, and investment opportunities in private, early-stage firms worldwide. You will be expected to understand the business, analyze unit economics and total addressable market, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, perform data room due diligence, and prepare investment write-ups and presentations. In addition to specific opportunities, you will get the chance to research an area of interest, gain some level of understanding, based on which you will propose recommendations and develop insights. Additionally, monitoring existing portfolio investments regularly will be an expectation. You will be required to attend calls with company management and industry experts, to strengthen your take on an investment opportunity.

        Basic Qualifications:

        • A master’s degree in finance or an equivalent qualification, with 2 to 4 years of investment research experience
        • Exceptional business research and valuation skills
        • High attention to detail, robust critical thinking skills, and excellent analytical abilities
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

        Preferred Qualifications:

        • Prior experience in venture capital firms
