        We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Tech Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in the firm’s office in Hyderabad. This team serves as the strategy office for the Head of the DESIS Tech Business Unit (BU) encompassing over 1,200 technical staff in India. DESIS Tech PMO acts as a centralized backbone, providing strategic consultations to the Tech leadership group, driving firm- and BU-wide initiatives, and compiling analytics and insights to empower leadership decision-making. This is a role for a “Technologist with Strategic Aspirations”. It requires deep technical fluency (gained from significant hands-on software development experience) combined with high-level organizational strategy skills (demonstrated by education and/or experience collaborating with senior leadership). You will engage with engineering leads on system design or similar technical discussions, serving as a bridge between engineering and business-level strategy.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will partner with the relevant stakeholders (Tech leadership, team leads) to work on BU-wide tech strategies, programs, and initiatives. Specifically, you will serve as a technical thought partner on technical strategy and decision making, evaluate the technical health of programs, identifying short- and long-term risks before they impact the business. You will lead and coordinate complex, cross-departmental projects and deliver actionable business intelligence by working with complex datasets and synthesizing insights for leadership. Additionally, you will encourage and institutionalize a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

        Who we’re looking for

        The ideal candidate should hold-
        Basic Qualifications:

        • Overall work experience of 4 to 8 years with a minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience
        • A degree in computer science engineering or a related technical field; an MBA (or equivalent) from a premier institution would be a plus
        • Software engineering experience in areas such as full-stack development, backend systems, and/or data engineering
        • Proficiency in System Design (HLD/LLD) with the ability to whiteboard solutions and share technically sound opinions about technology/architecture choices
        • Good grasp of modern technology development tools and development processes of enterprise-scale products
        • Proven ability to manage multiple strategic programs, including end-to-end planning, execution, and cross-team collaboration
        • Comfort working with ambiguity, navigating dynamic environments, and aligning the perspectives of diverse stakeholders (from technical engineers to senior executives)
        • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to confidently interact with both senior management and technical teams in a multicultural, global context

        Preferred Qualifications:

        • Experience in management consulting and/or program management (ideally in a technology-driven organization e.g., office of the Chief Technology Officer)
