        Manager/Senior Manager – Performance Management COE – Core Human Capital

        Join our Human Capital team in Hyderabad

        We are looking for a resourceful candidate with solid exposure to performance management who can join our Core Human Capital (CHC) team in Hyderabad as a Manager/Senior Manager. The Performance Management team is responsible for designing and deploying the performance management processes at D. E. Shaw India (DESIS).

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this position, you will lead the Performance Management COE team at D. E. Shaw India. You will be required to work with the firm’s leadership and multitude of stakeholders to continuously evaluate and execute performance management processes in manners that uphold the spirit of merit-based performance evaluation, further leading to necessary downstream career milestones like promotions, succession planning, etc. Additionally, you will be expected to manage, manipulate, and draw insights from performance trends and utilize the same to continuously evolve the meritocracy culture. Apart from running the core performance management processes, you will be expected to manage and develop peripherals of the performance management system like the competency framework, appraisal platforms, and staff enablement materials to ensure the most effective deployment of appraisal and promotion cycles. Furthermore, you will also be required to maintain data and generate necessary analytics to enable strategic and tactical interventions related to performance management processes at DESIS.

        Who we’re looking for

        • The ideal candidate should have expertise in performance management and 7-9 years of relevant HR experience
        • Candidate should have extensively managed end-to-end performance management and related processes (such as 360, promotions, goal setting, performance improvement plan execution, etc.)
        • The candidate should have the expertise to build an environment/culture where individuals feel free and safe, are encouraged to share and receive feedback, and managers feel compelled to deliver high-quality performance feedback to employees
        • Candidate should have technical depth on performance management concepts, principles, and modern performance management tools/platforms
        • The ideal candidate must have expertise in data management and presentation skills
        • The candidate should have excellent communication skills, necessary project management abilities, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across geographies while working on parallel projects and milestones
        • Candidates with COE (Centre of Excellence) role experience and team management skills will have an added advantage
        • Candidates who have had the exposure to have built/re-built the performance management system are encouraged to apply
