        We are currently seeking an experienced web application developer to join our Front Office R&D team at D. E. Shaw India in Hyderabad or Bengaluru. The team is dedicated to building highly scalable and robust web infrastructure using the latest web technologies. With around 200 web applications already running in production on this infrastructure, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and cutting-edge environment, working alongside a talented group of developers and engineers.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of products, including modern build tools, scalable web components, mobile infrastructure and development, real-time infrastructure using Web Workers and Web Assembly, complex business components, dev productivity tools, deployment tools, elastic-based search components, and many other interesting products. You will play a vital role in ensuring that we build high-quality products that are used by almost everyone in the firm. As a mentor, you will be responsible for guiding junior developers and engineers who share a passion for building innovative solutions. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in setting the team's vision and building products with the end user in mind, all while maintaining a focus on excellence and continuous improvement.

        Who we’re looking for

        Basic qualifications:

        • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
        • 4+ years of industry experience and more than 3 years of professional experience in web technologies
        • Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
        • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
        • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
        • The ability to stay current with emerging web technologies and best practices
