        Analyst/Senior Analyst - D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (Information Management)

        D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) develops, acquires, builds, owns, and operates solar and wind renewable energy generation facilities in the U.S.A. DESRI currently owns, operates, or has an exclusivity agreement or signed purchase and sale agreement in place with respect to more than 8.7 GW of solar and wind assets in the U.S. across 80+ projects. It is run by a dynamic team and is headquartered in New York, with offices located in Boston, Denver, and Hyderabad (India). We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our DESRI team based at the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be part of DESRI’s Information Management team and will regularly interact with Treasury, Asset Management, Acquisitions & Financing functions, various external counterparties, and other team members based out of the US and Hyderabad.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        You will have to timely source and manage key project documents and reports, through the life cycle of the project. You are expected to ensure completeness of such documents by validating key aspects of the documents, follow consistent naming convention and store at the appropriate location. You will be required to closely track key transactions and follow up with internal and external clients in ensuring the completeness of the check list items for such transactions including acquisitions, re-financings, and corporate financings. You will provide support to the treasury and accounting functions by maintaining information trackers such as key project contracts, swap terms and letter of credits for operating and pipeline projects. Additionally, you will actively manage web-based reporting applications and ensure timely reporting of financials and key account statements to Investors. You will also assist in developing data architecture and storage guidelines and educate the team on the same through presentations and meetings.

        Who we’re looking for

        • The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree with 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Information Management and/or Contracts Management, preferably in the Renewables or Energy industry
        • Candidate should possess intermediate to advance MS Excel skills, for example building pivot tables, writing macros and building formulas
        • The candidate should be experienced in reviewing, analyzing, and extracting vital information from the agreements and in data storage, folder/file management and cloud base data repositories
        • The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and interact with all levels of management in a professional and positive manner
        • Candidates who are individual contributors and require minimal supervision and displaying collaborative approach will have an added advantage
        • The candidate with an experience in process automation and data visualization using current technology (Python/R/SQL/Power BI/VBA) will have an added advantage
