        Analyst/Senior Analyst - D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (Engineering Information Management)

        Join our Financial Research team in Hyderabad

        We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our DESRI team based at the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be part of DESRI’s Information Management team and will regularly interact with Project Developers, Construction Managers, External Contractors (EPC and O&M), Asset Managers, and other team members based out of our US and Hyderabad offices.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        You will have to adhere to and develop a set of key procedures and specifications governing the technical information management process. This is inclusive of working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders such as developers, construction managers, asset managers, EPC/O&M contractors, and other team members based out of our US and Hyderabad offices. You will also be sourcing, reviewing, and storing the technical documents spanning across the lifecycle of the project from development to operational stage, closely tracking key project milestones and following up with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure completeness of technical documentation. You will be expected to develop, maintain, and review the master document register related to design and engineering information i.e., technical drawings, commissioning and testing, critical equipment datasheets, site studies, and permit documents of projects. Additionally, you will ensure the implementation of existing IM standards such as document naming and numbering, folder structure consistency, archiving mechanism, and document transition from pipeline to portfolio. You will also work on the completeness of the project’s technical information on asset management ERP. You will be required to apply an initiative-taking approach in a dynamic, constantly changing, and expanding business environment. Moreover, you will drive improvements in the document control scope through leadership, standards, and behaviors and implement solutions that educate and encourage internal and external stakeholders to become more collaborative and contribute to the process.

        Who we’re looking for

        • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering with 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Engineering Information Management, preferably in the Renewables or Energy industries
        • The candidate should be able to review technical drawings, testing reports, and equipment data
        • The ideal candidate should possess practical knowledge of User Access Management, Workflow Management, Folder Management, Revision Control on different EDMS tools
        • Candidate should be able to work independently and interact with all levels of management in a professional and positive manner
        • The candidate should be an individual contributor requiring minimal supervision and display a collaborative approach
        • Candidates with experience in process automation and data visualization using current technology (Python/R/VBA/SQL/Power BI) will have an added advantage
        • Candidates with professional experience in Engineering Data Management, Database Management, and ETL process on cloudbased platforms will have an added advantage
